St. Patrick's Day Pot of Gold Crafts
Welcome to a dazzling world of creativity where every rainbow leads to a pot of gold! Our Pots of Gold Crafts for Kids section is a treasure trove of imaginative activities that sparkle with the magic of St. Patrick's Day.
More Pot of Gold Craft Ideas:
Miniature Pot of Gold:
Use small black cups or terra cotta flower pots as the base.
- Let children paint them black
- Fill them with some shredded up tissue paper or construction paper (green is great)
- Top off with some gold foil-wrapped chocolates or shiny gold coins.
Pot of Gold Mason Jar:
Very similar to the last idea, but using a mason jar!
- Paint the outside of a mason jar black and let it dry.
- I like to paint just the bottom half of the jar so the items inside show through the glass of the top half.
- Children can then fill the jar with golden craft materials, like glittery pom-poms or gold beads or with rainbow colored items like skittles. Tie a green ribbon or piece of twine around the top for a festive touch.
Pot of Gold Paper Plate Craft:
Paint the bottom of a paper plate black to represent the pot and glue cotton balls around the rim for clouds. Attach a rainbow made from colored paper strips and fill the "pot" with gold glitter or yellow pom-poms.
Stained Glass Pot of Gold:
Cover a piece of contact paper (or use glue and waxed paper) with squares of tissue paper in a rainbow.
- Add a piece of black construction paper cut into the shape of a small pot to the bottom of the rainbow.
- You can also add a few coin shapes (circles) cut from gold foil or yellow construction paper to your pot as gold.
- Add a black frame of construction paper around the outside if you would like.
Pot of Gold Discovery Bottle:
Fill a clear plastic bottle or thick ziploc bag with water, gold glitter, green buttons and gold sequins. Seal the bottle or ziploc bag. Kids will love shaking the bottle to see their "gold" swirl around.
Clay Pot of Gold:
Shape Air-dry clay into small pots from store bough or homemade clay and paint them black.
Once dry, children can fill their pots with gold-painted pebbles or clay beads.
Paper Quilling Pot of Gold:
Form a simple pot of gold shape using a paper outline filled with quilled circles and teardrop shapes.
Simple uilled circles make perfect pieces of gold.
The pot can be made with an outline of black paper filled with green or black quilled circles or teardrop shapes.
These crafts are designed to inspire young minds to explore, create, and celebrate the joy of this festive Irish holiday.
From simple projects perfect for little hands to more intricate designs that challenge older kids, each craft is a golden opportunity to engage in fun, creativity, and the spirit of St. Patrick's Day.
