Only 22

| Yesterday I talked
about some ideas for helping the children raise some money for
Christmas charities to involve them in the spirit of giving.
or, if your children aren't ready for charitable giving -- working
to raise their own money to buy a gift for someone special to them.
Now that you have them rummaging for spare change,
why not make a fun and easy craft to collect the money you've raised
until you're ready to spend it.
My favorite is to make a Piggy
Bank Craft. You can add a Christmas flavor to it by
painting the body red, gold or green or wrap it in Christmas
wrapping paper. I like the piggy bank because most young
children identify them as a way to save money.
You can write the name of your chosen charity on
the side of the piggy bank and place it in a prominent location to
help remind the family to feed it. |

If a Pig just doesn't scream Christmas
for your family, you can try out one of these Alternative containers for
holding your Christmas charity savings:
