I originally made all the pages with the proper number of characters, but it's tough to fit 12 drummers drumming on one piece of paper.
The pages with more characters will be time consuming for younger kids to color. SO, I made an alternate coloring page with just one character (B&W - 1) for each set.
The single character pages can also be used as puppets (cut them out and glue them onto a craft stick or unsharpened pencil).
Or they can be used on the flannel board (cut them out and glue a small piece of sandpaper or velcro hook side to the back).
