Roger Hargreaves (Born: May 9, 1935 Died: September, 11 1988) is the author of a terrific series of books known as the Mr. Men and Little Miss books. Roger was born in Cleckheaton, England and when he was a child, he helped his father by working in the family-owned laundromat. As an adult he started a career as a creative director for an advertising firm in London. It wasn't until the 1970s that he became a best selling author.

His first Mr. Men drawing was actually inspired by a question from his son and from there Roger made many more Mr. Men and Little Miss drawings. The collection of books is popular worldwide and the characters have been featured in their own TV shows, newspaper cartoons, and merchandise like t-shirts, pillowcases, lunchboxes, etc.

Over the years, I've had many viewers ask for suggestions for teaching children about emotions. Roger Hargreaves' books are great for this -- with books about everyone from Mr. Happy to Mr. Grumpy. Below are many Mr. Men and Little Miss crafts and activities! Which character is your favourite?
