About "the Team"

Hello!

I’m Leanne, the creator, writer, and artist behind DLTK-Kids.com, DLTK-Holidays.com, Coloring.ws and KidZone.ws.

Yep, I'm "the team". Lol

I wear every hat here - from researcher and designer to coder and content writer to wife and mother and soon to be grandmother! - and I truly love building these sites from start to finish. It’s a one-person creative adventure, and I’m proud of how many families, teachers, and children have grown up using my resources over the years.

I love creative writing, crafting and coloring, on my own and with children. Every spare corner of my cupboards are stuffed with wool, pencil crayons, soy wax, clay and mica. I also like growing cabbage and making my own sauerkraut. Lol.

I’ve always been inspired by children's first eager-to-learn years. That excitement for discovery fuels everything I create, whether it’s a craft, coloring page, or a short article about the history and traditions behind a holiday. I also have a lifelong fascination with mythology and history, especially the stories that bring meaning to how we celebrate around the world.

When I’m not working on the sites, I’m usually preparing for a family gathering or holiday meal. I’m the one who loves to host! I enjoy gardening, sketching, and sharing good conversation over a warm cup of tea. I’ll admit that technology sometimes tests my patience, but it’s also what makes all of this possible, so I do my best to keep up.

I earned my degree back in the early ’90s and have kept learning ever since... art, education, web design, and the rich traditions that make each season special. Whether you’re a parent, teacher, or simply someone who enjoys creative fun, I hope you find inspiration and joy here.
