Sometimes when I'm busy creating crafts I forget the little things I loved as a child.  One of my favorite things to make at Christmas time when I was young was making paper snowflakes.

You can add a bit of culture to the project by sharing the history of them or you can just grab some paper and scissors and have a terrific time sharing this age old tradition with the kids.

If you're looking for more Christmas crafts with backgrounds from different countries, try making British Christmas Crackers or Norwegian Christmas Hearts.  The crackers make great decorations for the Christmas table (and can be made this early!) and the hearts are nice to hang on the Christmas tree.
